Hi there, and welcome. Whether you’re new to starting therapy or have prior experience with outpatient counseling, I’m grateful to be part of your journey. I have been providing outpatient counseling services for approximately four years while also gaining experience in acute care settings, including inpatient psychiatric centers, hospitals, and primary care practices.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Old Dominion University in 2019 and completed my Doctorate in Counselor Education in 2024.
My therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based treatment while also recognizing the important connection between mind and body. Because every client brings a unique background and set of experiences, I emphasize a collaborative approach with individualized treatment planning tailored to your specific needs.
“Her compassion and attention to detail reflect our mission of providing accessible, client-centered care.”
I integrate several therapeutic modalities into my work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and the Gottman Method, all through a trauma-informed lens.
I have worked with a variety of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, infidelity, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use, thought disorders, and behavioral challenges.
My experience includes serving children ages 7 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and enjoy working with individuals from all communities. Much of my work focuses on understanding how individuals function within larger systems—such as family, work, and relationships—and how those systems can work together more effectively.
When I’m not working, I enjoy leisurely drinking coffee, running, reading, caring for my plants, and taking naps.
